While the news media continues to try to scare us shitless about the H1N1 Influenza virus, the present outbreak has nothing on what happened in 1918.

I’m a life-long Portland area resident (except for a 15 year period living in various less-cool places). I’m a software developer, but I code to live, not the other way around. I spend probably too much time watching TV when I’m not surfing the web till my butt gets numb. I’ve got a big interest in history – especially if it’s the stuff they never taught you in school.
